PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is referred to as ‘The Fountain of Youth’. The procedure involves using the portion of your own blood plasma that is rich in growth factors, (“liquid gold”). The activated platelets release growth factors to stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells in the region where they are applied or injected.  PRP has been safely used in sports medicine for decades to accelerate wound healing.  This regenerative medicine can be used as an injectable to generate collagen and elastin in all areas of the body.  Common areas we treat with PRP filler are the dark, hollow under eyes, lips, cheeks, temples, jawline, wrinkles such as smile lines or necklines, aging hands or décolleté, and it is a safe way to even enhance the booty!  

There are many reasons to love natural PRP dermal filler!  First of all, it is made from your own blood plasma.  Upon arrival, your blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge to separate the PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) from the PPP (Platelet-Poor Plasma), then it is heated and cooled to create a long-lasting, organic filler that restores volume loss, bio-stimulates tissues to regenerate and build collagen and elastin over time and also REPAIRS the tissue!  Until now we have not had a filler that can regenerate AND repair.  Because it harnesses your own growth factors and stem cells, it aids to enhance tone and texture, to minimize the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation, to improve skin laxity and to provide that youthful, radiant glow to your skin.  In addition, the healing time is cut in half resulting in essentially no downtime.

This procedure yields 10-12 syringes.  That’s 12 ml of filler!  This allows us to treat the entire face or an entire area to correction.  Traditional HA filler is only 1 ml per syringe which is only a pea size amount. This is a great advantage from a cost perspective alone.

The entire procedure takes about 2.5 hours.

The volume with the first treatment will last 4 months.  Two treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, is recommend with results lasting one year after the second session.

    Do NOT ice PRP filler.  It will denature the growth factors.  Instead use mild heat on the area, 10 minutes on and off for 30 minutes at a time.

The procedure is relatively quick, usually lasting around 15-30 minutes, and may involve multiple injections depending on the desired outcome.     During a PRP filler treatment, a trained provider will draw your blood and place it into a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the RBCs.  This process takes 30 minutes.  Once the syringes of filler are prepared, they are injected using a cannula into the targeted areas.  The procedure is usually well-tolerated and takes about 30-45 minutes.
