Neurotoxins such as Botox®, Dysport, and Xeomin, are FDA-approved products composed of the active ingredient Botulinum Toxin Type A used to smooth lines and wrinkles. We offer all three brands. They work by temporarily blocking the chemical communication between the nerve and the receptor inhibiting the movement of the muscle causing the wrinkle. A tiny injection into the area results in a smoother, tighter appearance of the skin lasting about three to four months.

In addition to wrinkles, Botox® can be used for many concerns such as sweating, jaw clenching, gummy smile, acne and more!

    The upper face muscles are the most common areas we treat with Botox®.  These treatments may include the following areas: Forehead, Glabella (11’s), Crow’s Feet (lines around eyes), Brows (brow lift), Bunny Lines (nose lines), Lip Lines (“smoker’s lines”), Chin (dimpling/orange peel appearance).

    If you naturally have a thin upper lip or are noticing volume loss with age, you may want to consider Botox® injections.  Over time our lips lose their plumpness and wrinkles may appear around the mouth.  Tiny injections at the vermillion border will give a subtle enhancement to the pink show of the upper lip and can also smooth the lines and wrinkles around the mouth as the muscle relaxes. This is commonly referred to as a “lip flip”.

    Reduce the show of your gum line when you smile with a few Botox® injections near the nose and the upper lip. This treatment takes at least 2 sessions to get it right, which is included in the price shown.

  • A good candidate for Botox® typically includes one seeking to prevent and/or reduce wrinkles and fine lines, especially around the forehead, eyes, and mouth. Those with realistic expectations and in good overall health are ideal candidates.

  • Results from Botox® injections are often visible within 3 to 7 days after treatment, with full effects appearing within two weeks. Individual experiences may vary based on factors such as metabolism and muscle response.

  • The results of Botox® injections typically last between 3 to 6 months. Consistent follow-up treatments can help maintain the desired aesthetic effects over time. Taking daily zinc supplements has been shown to help extend the longevity of the result.

  • Botox® injections generally involve minimal downtime, allowing patients to resume normal activities immediately afterward. Bruising, swelling, or redness may occur at the injection site, which typically resolves within a few days.

  • Before Botox® treatment, it’s advisable to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications to prevent bruising. Afterward, it’s recommended to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area and to stay upright for several hours to prevent the spread of the toxin. It is best to avoid heavy exercise for the first 4 hours after treatment.

  • During a Botox® treatment session, a qualified healthcare provider will administer the injections using a fine needle. The procedure is relatively quick, typically lasting around 15 minutes, and may involve multiple injections depending on the treatment area. The procedure is usually well-tolerated.
